The secret to supercharging your day is through the power of a morning ritual.

How you spend those first few minutes upon waking is a critical factor that can determine the outcome of your entire day. If you wake up feeling stressed, overwhelmed, negative and tired, then you’re definitely not getting the day started off on the right foot. Unfortunately, this is how most people start their day. They focus on all the stuff they have “to do”, then feed their mind with negativity by reading the newspaper, and consuming their cup of coffee to get that caffeine boost to get them going. They are reactive, instead of proactive.

Monday morning… following a busy, intense weekend that I can hardly call a weekend. Surrounded by people talking about how hungry, sleepy, and tired they are.  So hard to stay focused at work…Who feels identified? Anyone else? Anyone? Yes, that’s what I thought!

Filling up your morning with energy and positivism seems an impossible magic trick. There’s no magic trick behind it though, just a series of very simple small steps you can take to start making your mornings better, happier and therefore increase your productivity throughout your days.

I know, I know… these rituals lists might still sound like false promises when you know how hard it is for you to even get yourself to work on a Monday morning. Start slow, baby steps, and you will slowly see the changes in your mood during your mornings. Adopt these simple 10 morning rituals to channel your productivity and focus throughout your days.  It will help you feel happier, more confident and fill your mind with positivism.

#1. Smile Upon Waking Up to Supercharge Your Productivity

Start your day with a smile! You can try smiling at yourself for 30 seconds in the mirror. This exercise inspires a bunch of positive thoughts and it also releases chemicals in your body that instantly make you feel happier!

#2. Get Moving to Start Your Morning Rituals

Get moving doesn’t necessarily mean an intense workout session. This can be a small workout such as going for a walk, do some stretching or yoga sun salutations. You can try a 7 minute exercise routine that is short enough to fit in your morning and will still give you all the benefits to make you release those happy chemicals in your body!

#3. Read Positive Thoughts

Make sure your read, watch and write positive thoughts. It doesn’t necessarily have to be reading but you can also watch an inspiring YouTube video or get on Pinterest to look for positive thoughts. Stay away from newspapers and news channels which can trigger anxiety.

#4. Make Affirmations

Remind yourself of all the good things you have in life and that have lately happened to you. Be grateful for the life that you have, and any other small thing that you can be taking for granted. Remember that not everyone has been blessed as much as you have!

#5.  Superfoods for Breakfast will Supercharge Your Morning Rituals

Don’t you ever skip breakfast! A healthy breakfast will calm your appetite and give you a strong energy boost. Including the best quality fuel such as superfoods (hemp seeds, oatmeal, , chia seeds, flax seeds and cocoa beans) will keep you energized and productive!

#6. Great Green Smoothie

Green smoothies for breakfast are healthy, cheap, fast and easy to make! This is the best time in which you can include a green smoothie during your day.  It will start your day on a healthy note!

#7. Listen to Uplifting Music

Keep the happy uplifting vibes coming! You can also listen to anything that get you energized and pumped for your day!

#8. Drink Water

You are more than 75% water so your body needs water to recharge for the day! Drinking water will wake up your digestive system and help your brain start working properly. Water provides immediate hydration and flushes unwanted toxins which I’m sure sounds excellent in your morning ritual.  If you do not feel like drinking plain water in the morning, you can try lemon water!

#9. Stay Away from Technology

Stay Away from blue light for the first 15 minutes after waking up.  Do not get sucked up in social or work emails before necessary. This can trigger feelings of anxiety so stay away from it and you will feel so much calmer!

#10. Set Your Goal for The day

Set 3 goals for the day as part of your morning ritual, no matter how small they are. Think about how accomplishing those goals at the end of the day will feel like
